A classroom filled with students wearing matching red and black uniforms. They sit at wooden desks, facing forward, with a few students engaging in conversation. The room has a colorful geometric-patterned wall that displays 'IPA 3' in bold letters. Several small potted plants hang from the ceiling and around the windows, adding greenery to the space. Light streams in through large windows on one side, illuminating the students.

Other Life Styles and Skill development services

Sports and Physical Fitness
With a minimum of 15 minutes of skills-oriented training, Progress Academy students will become healthier and learn important leadership and teamwork skills — not to mention excelling at sports and having a great time doing it.

Nutrition Club
The Nutrition Club is a cornerstone of Progress Academy, often encouraging students through the door. Under the supervision of trained Nutrition Staff, a rotating crew of students will learn how to cook easy, healthy, and inexpensive meals. We have the resources at our premises.

Homework/ Advancement Support
Led by Teachers’ College graduates who liaise directly with daytime school staff, Progress Academy children get targeted after-school/ advancement support to learn better study habits and achieve better grades.

Financial Literacy
The Financial Literacy Program is designed to help introduce the students to important, real-life issues and lessons. They learn about things like interest, mortgages, and RRSPs as a way to get them familiar with the concepts to take away any fear or apprehension of the future.

Arts and Crafts Program
A variety of arts and crafts programs are offered in rotation throughout the year.

Leadership camp
At leadership camps, not only will your child discover lifelong lessons and improve their self-confidence and independence, but they’ll also have the chance to teach and guide other students, learn more about life skills, and personal motivation development.

Community Dinners
Community Dinners allow students to demonstrate their new skills to their parents in a casual and welcoming environment. Together, all the participants cook meals and serve the teachers and families who are there as guests.
